Foot and ankle injuries can happen during sports, at work, from a fall or in everyday life. Prompt, accurate diagnosis and treatment are important to help the injury heal properly and to prevent long-term problems such as chronic pain, instability or arthritis.

Dr. Gathani placed a strong surgical emphasis on foot and ankle trauma throughout his residency, including fractures, tendon injuries and complex reconstruction.

Injuries we treat

  • Ankle sprains and ankle instability
  • Ankle fractures
  • Metatarsal and toe fractures
  • Achilles tendon ruptures
  • Lisfranc (midfoot) injuries
  • Peroneal tendon tears
  • Sports injuries and stress fractures
How We Help

How we treat injuries

  • 01

    Prompt evaluation

We examine the injury and order imaging when needed to make an accurate diagnosis.

  • 02

    Non-surgical care

Many injuries heal well with immobilization, a walking boot, bracing and physical therapy.

  • 03

    Surgical repair

When needed, surgery can realign broken bones, repair torn tendons and restore stability.

  • 04

    Guided recovery

We guide you through each stage of healing and help you return safely to your normal activities.

When to See a Podiatrist

Schedule a visit if you notice:

  • You are unable to put weight on your foot or ankle
  • A pop or snap at the time of the injury
  • Severe swelling or bruising
  • A visible deformity
  • Pain that is not improving after a few days

If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
